I deeply believe everyone deserves to be documented in a richly authentic way. Every single person has their own special light, their own spark of magic — and each story deserves to be told with reverence. It is truly an honor to follow you through your most tender breaths of time and create something from that fleeting second that can bring you straight back, as if it were yesterday. I am grateful every day.
Photography is the art of truly noticing. It is the art of memories. I find immense joy in finding the story through all the soft glances, happy hugs, full laughs, and forehead kisses, and weaving those moments together in rich color. The most magical photos are the ones that capture your joy and essence when you're able to fully relax and sink into the moment with your people — the photos that tell a story, that capture who you are, not who you think you're supposed to be. The most special photos cannot be planned. They happen when everyone is present, allowing their full light to shine.
I have always been a documenter. I constantly held a camera up to my siblings' faces, my parents in the car, my friends at school, my dog running at the beach, even my breakfast in the morning. In the moment, it just felt like something I did. Not until that time had long passed did I realize how finite a singular moment was. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we forget that we cannot stay here forever. Your love will grow and change into something stronger and more mature. When that time comes, I hope you're able to find yourself fully transported back — to remember things exactly how they felt, to know they were documented with intention and love.
Investing in a photographer is not merely investing in a nice picture — it is giving yourself permission to be wholly and authentically seen and celebrated. It is knowing you will have a piece of today forever.
Hi, I’m Riss!
Each and every image in every gallery is handcrafted, one by one, with a romantic, intuitive, and creative eye. I work to provide a comfortable environment full of peace and laughter during sessions, bringing out moments that artfully tell the story of one of humanity's greatest strengths: love in all its capacity.
I have been photographing professionally since Fall 2025. In that time, I have photographed a friend's wedding, many families and couples, events, played around with fantastical themes, and fallen more and more in love with the entire process of photography.
With a degree in Theater, I approach sessions as a friend and director, building and creating scenes that are both artistic and genuine.
I have always been a reader and lover of stories, and when I’m not taking photos, I love meeting new people, exploring, and trying new things.
